Summary

Yurra the hag suggested that you might find Dalvos somewhere in Serbule. She said that an elf in town had been inspecting the giant red crystals that Dalvos is known to make. Find this elf and see if she can help you.

Okay. Where is Dalvos?

There's two clues that suggest he's near you. First, his red crystals have been mysteriously appearing. Second, one of his old creations has been spotted in the woods: A species of brains on legs.

Okay. So where do I start?

I've seen an elf studying one of the big red crystals near here. She probably lives in the walled town.

I'm here about some crystals?

You mean the giant crystal out near the lake? What do you know about it? Who sent you? What do you plan to do about it? Are you form the Council? Where's your badge? WHO ARE YOU REALLY?

Oh no, another person? I thought you looked pretty disoriented! So you lost all your memory? You don't know anything?

Well that's... that's really sad! I'm sorry for your loss. There was a different person, a human girl, stumbled into town the same way a few months ago, said she was trapped on an island nearby.

Damn. So you aren't from the Council at all. You just saw the big crystal and you're curious. Well, it's a variety of red crystal that we find all over the place, but usually the chunks are tiny. The only time any of us have seen a crystal this big is on the rubywalls.

Wait, what are the rubywalls?

You know, the gigantic red walls that crisscross the continent and keep demons from invading? They're made of crystal and magic energy. But only a Council mage knows how to make them.

So anyway, enough blabbing. I've been trying to figure out where this came from by studying its crystal structure -- I'm an amateur geologician -- but I ran out of red crystal samples. Why don't you go and chip off some more samples for me?
