Breaking
The suitable tool to break purpur block is Minecraft:pickaxe. Purpur block needs to be broken using a pickaxe, otherwise the breaking time will increase and the block drops nothing. Template:Breaking row Purpur block drops itself when it's destroyed.

Purpur blocks can be found naturally as part of End cities and End ships.
