Template:Infobox block Red sandstone is a variant of Minecraft:sandstone. It comes in three other variants: cut red sandstone, chiseled red sandstone, and smooth red sandstone.
Obtaining
Breaking
The suitable tool to break red sandstone is Minecraft:pickaxe. Red sandstone needs to be broken using a pickaxe, otherwise the breaking time will increase and the block drops nothing. Script error: No such module "breaking row". Red sandstone drops itself when it's destroyed.
Natural generation
Red sandstone generates at noise cave entrances in badlands biomes.
If a village generates some buildings inside of a badlands biome, any floating platform surrounding village buildings generate with red sandstone below red sand.

Crafting
Usage
Unlike red sand, red sandstone is never affected by gravity.
Crafting ingredient
Stonecutting ingredient
Smelting ingredient
Note blocks
Red sandstone can be placed under note blocks to produce "bass drum" sounds.
Sulfur cube
Template:Message box Template:Article other Sulfur cubes have the ability to absorb red sandstone, either through picking it up or being interacted with it. This provides the regular/football effect to the mob when hitting it.
