Template:Infobox block A smooth stone slab is a decorative Minecraft:slab variant of smooth stone that generates in overworld Minecraft:structures and is used for building.
Obtaining
Breaking
Smooth stone slabs can be mined using any Minecraft:pickaxe. If mined without a pickaxe, they drop nothing.
Natural generation
Smooth stone slabs can generate as part of strongholds and plains, savanna, taiga, and snowy tundra villages. Smooth stone slabs can also generate in woodland mansions, some Minecraft:Overworld ruined portals, and in trail ruins.
Crafting
Stonecutting
Usage
Crafting ingredient
Note blocks
Smooth stone slabs can be placed under note blocks to produce "bass drum" sounds.
Sounds
in Template:Editions, when a smooth stone slab is combined into a double slab, the block's use sound is played.<ref>Template:Bug</ref>
