Template:Distinguish Template:Infobox block Calcite is a Minecraft:block of carbonate mineral, which can be used as decoration.
Obtaining
Breaking
Calcite drops as an item if mined by any Minecraft:pickaxe. If mined without a pickaxe, it drops nothing. Template:Breaking row
Natural generation
Calcite generates naturally as part of the structure of Minecraft:amethyst geodes, between the Minecraft:smooth basalt and Minecraft:block of amethyst layers. It also generates in the Minecraft:stony peaks in Minecraft:strips.
Usage
Calcite is used for decoration. It has lower blast resistance and hardness than most other stone-related blocks.
Note blocks
Calcite can be placed under Minecraft:note blocks to produce "bass drum" sounds.
Sulfur cube
