StarCitizen:Hathor Group

Hathor Group was a StarCitizen:Human inter-planetary mining concern that employed harsh, environmentally catastrophic techniques that left otherwise inhabitable StarCitizen:planets desolate in the company's wake. It purchased the StarCitizen:Nexus system from the StarCitizen:United Nations of Earth (UNE) in StarCitizen:2468, strip mining the surface of StarCitizen:Lago (Nexus IV) and ignoring burgeoning criminal activity in the system. After a run of poor investments and failed claims, the company invested the last of its funds into mining the recently discovered StarCitizen:Stanton system in StarCitizen:2853. Unforeseen difficulties forced it to cease operations, and the Hathor Group was formally dissolved in StarCitizen:2864.<ref name="galactapedia">Template:Cite RSI</ref>

History

In 2468, the Hathor Group purchased all mining rights for the Nexus system. Having neglected security, the system rapidly filled with criminal activity, which led to the group's eventual abandonment of it in StarCitizen:2672.<ref name="cl15131">Template:Cite RSI</ref>

After a series of poor investments and unsuccessful claims, the company used its remaining funds to mine the newly discovered Stanton system in 2853. Unexpected challenges arose, ultimately leading to the cessation of operations and the formal dissolution of the Hathor Group in 2864.<ref name="galactapedia" /> New environmental protection laws established after the end of the StarCitizen:Messer Era (2546 to 2792) contributed to the closure, alongside adverse economic conditions and increased competition over dwindling resource reserves.<ref name="dissolution">Template:Cite game</ref>

Facilities

The Hathor Group left behind several automated mining sites in the StarCitizen:Stanton system, each pairing an orbital laser platform (OLP) with a cluster of planetary alignment facilities (PAF). Two sites orbit StarCitizen:Daymar and two orbit StarCitizen:Aberdeen.<ref name="ig410">Template:Cite game</ref>
