"Skill in the creation of advanced tools and unusual equipment. Far more than just creating hand tools, an expert Toolcrafter is a master of repurposing found materials, and can create belts, armors, and even weapons from unusual materials. This equipment is usually designed to meet very specialized needs.
Toolcrafting Overview
Toolcrafting lets the player craft all sorts of useful gear, from armor to better autopsy/skinning/butchering tools to single-skill Lucky Belts.

Skill in the creation of advanced tools and unusual equipment. Far more than just creating hand tools, an expert Toolcrafter is a master of repurposing found materials, and can create belts, armors, and even weapons from unusual materials. This equipment is usually designed to meet very specialized needs.
Some tools need to be crafted at a forge. For a list of forge locations, see Blacksmithing.
Training Toolcrafting
- Yogzi in Sun Vale teaches Toolcrafting if your Blacksmithing or Carpentry is level 20. (Yogzi's dialog in-game indicates both Carpentry and Blacksmithing must be 20, but having only one of the two is sufficient). Yogzi also trains most of the main recipes below 50.
- Sie Antry in Eltibule will teach you how to make all kinds of gear from the body parts of vanquished Snails starting at Toolcrafting level 30.
- Amutasa in Rahu will unlock levels 51-60, 61-70, and teaches level 51+ recipes, as well as the mid-level hammer recipes (Shaping Hammer, Tack Hammer, and Delicate Tack Hammer).
- Yagreet at the Great Tree in Sun Vale will teach Amazing First Aid Kit, and Mox Warcut Astounding First Aid Kit.
- Corey The Croaker in the Winter Nexus will teach how to craft Spring Fairy equipment.
- Felmer in the Fae Realm will unlock levels 71-80 and teach 80+ recipes.
- Levels 81-90 are unlocked by Dunahain Broadarm in the Nightmare Caves deep beneath Povus.

Trivia
Despite the fact Yogzi the goblin teaches the early Toolcrafting unlocks and skills, many recipes require the use of a forge...and Sun Vale does not have one. (For forge locations, see the Blacksmithing page.) Sun Vale does have a tanning rack, however, located in Animal Town.
