The Chinese prediction poll was a popularity poll held in China, teasing the announcement at Minecraft:MINECON Earth 2018 of a Chinese "national treasure" coming to Minecraft.<ref name="poll">Template:Citation</ref> The poll's result did not affect the development of Minecraft.
Results
The available options were the giant panda, Chinese alligator, golden monkey, white-lipped deer, and river dolphin, with the giant panda eventually winning the poll upon its conclusion on September 21, 2018.<ref name="poll" /> It was then announced at Minecraft:MINECON Earth 2018, eight days later, as part of the Minecraft:Village & Pillage update.
