Dragonwilds:Skullsplitter

Template:Infobox Item Skullsplitter is a Dragonwilds:power level 3 one-handed weapon that can be crafted using a Dragonwilds:blacksmith's bench. The recipe is learned by consuming the Dragonwilds:vestige Dragonwilds:remnants of a shattered skull, received randomly as a drop from killing Dragonwilds:garou berserkers at a 1/50 drop rate. It can be ascended at the Dragonwilds:mystic forge using Dragonwilds:ascension cores.

Its Dragonwilds:special effect is +15% Dragonwilds:critical strike chance, which equates to an average 1.0375x damage increase, making it slightly better than the Dragonwilds:goblin "Swingslash" but slightly worse than the Dragonwilds:zombie axe at equivalent Dragonwilds:power levels. For example, at Dragonwilds:power level 7, the Skullsplitter has a base 113 - 200 damage, but Dragonwilds:goblin "Swingslash" is 115 - 204, and the Dragonwilds:zombie axe is 118 - 209. 113 x 1.0375 = ~117 and 200 x 1.0375 = ~208.

That assumes that the Dragonwilds:critical strike chance never goes over 100%, which would be wasted. Currently, the base chance is 10%, the 2/3 Dragonwilds:melee armour set bonus provides 50% after a block, and the Dragonwilds:lesser Attack potion provides 25%, equaling 85% before adding the Skullsplitter's 15%. Including the fact that the Dragonwilds:zombie axe has higher base damage even with average damage increase from crits, but also deals slash damage in addition to crush, means that the Dragonwilds:zombie axe is the superior one-handed crush weapon to ascend.
