ProjectGorgon:Druid

From SAS Gaming Wiki
Revision as of 01:26, 8 April 2026 by Maintenance script (talk | contribs) (Fix DPL: %PAGE% → %TITLE% for namespace compatibility)

Accepting the mantle of Druid is a PERMANENT CHARACTER ALTERATION. YOU WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO REMOVE THIS CHOICE FROM YOUR CHARACTER.

There is currently no way to use the Lycanthrope and Druid skillsets as a combination. Items that enable druidism while in wolf form MAY come in a future content update. You can learn both skills no problem and they don't interfere with each other at all. You just can't use druid skills while in wolf form currently.

Druidin'

Druid Overview

Druid is a combat skill earned by individuals seeking a deeper connection with nature, and willing to put their life on the line to defend it. In order to obtain the skill, one must venture to the Druid Camp in the North-East corner of Sun Vale. An altar just outside a druid encampment will accept your pledge. You must have at least one combat skill at level 50 to use the altar. Silvia, the druid trainer, can be found near the shrine if a druid wishes to learn new abilities.

Druidic Emergencies

"
Druids can finally fulfill their druidic obligations! "Druid events" are calls to action for the Druids. One hour prior to the event, druids will receive a premonition of pending danger (in the form of a special effect icon). When the event occurs, druids are obligated to go and help with whatever disaster is occurring. You will receive a special quest explaining the details and tracking your progress.
Once the event starts, druids can't earn XP. This is to encourage druids to do their goddamned jobs. But druids can still get loot, and when the event ends, Dreva will send 'blessings' to druids that helped. Dreva's Blessings can be used to purchase abilities and items from the druid pedestal in Sun Vale.
Non-druids can help fight back the plagues of evil, too. Anyone who defeats the necessary monsters will advance the special event, whether they're druids or not.
There are several different 'sizes' of each event. When the premonition begins, the number of active players online is checked, and an appropriate difficulty is chosen based on that number. (There are three versions of each event. We'll add more versions down the road.)

Intermittency

Each day the system decides between 0-3 druid events.

Druidic Storage

Druids with at least 4 levels in Teleportation are able to purchase two useful recipes by spending Dreva's Blessings at the Druid altar. These recipes give access to a special storage many adventurers find useful for stowing their Druid equipment or Sprint boosting potions.

  • Summon Druidic Storage (12-slot) - Summon a special druidic storage container. Must be near a teleportation platform. This can be used during a druidic emergency and up to an hour before or after the emergency.
  • Summon Druidic Storage (20-slot) - Summon a special druidic storage container. Must be near a teleportation platform. This can be used during a druidic emergency and up to an hour before or after the emergency.

Quests

  • ProjectGorgon:Druid: Arising From The Sands
    "

Relics from a long-finished war arise in the sands of the Ilmari Desert. These 'overseers' are remnants of a demonic army. They will communicate with their demon masters and convey the state of our world to outsiders. Druids, slay these creatures quickly! Every moment they exist puts our world in further peril.

Their otherworldly defenses would prove too much even for your powers, so I have augmented your 'Rotskin' ability. Use it to cut through their preliminary shielding.

  • ProjectGorgon:Druid: Droach Invasion
    "

The troubled valleys of Eltibule are even more dangerous than they should be. Droaches have leaked out of the dark places in the ground to cause mayhem to the surface ecologies. Druids, go now and make it right.

Fire droaches flow from the dwarven statues and congregate near the central keep. Defeat them to lure out the more calculating electric droaches, and then defeat those as well.

  • ProjectGorgon:Druid: Flowers of Desecration
    "

Druids, head to Serbule Hills! Ranalons there have begun a ritual invocation of Enoyos, beseeching him to turn all the lakes of Serbule into brackish water.

Their stone offering-boxes surround the lake. Desecrate these boxes to disrupt the ritual, then find and slay the head shamans that swim in the lake itself.

The offering-boxes are strongly enchanted, so multiple druids will need to desecrate each one. Since the desecration ritual requires the petals of the rare Rotflower, I have caused this flower to bloom throughout the hills and mountains of Serbule Hills.

Find the Rotflowers, desecrate the offering chests, then execute the shamans.

  • ProjectGorgon:Druid: Ice Giants
    "

Hark druids, in a cold and distant land named Kur, a dangerous enemy plots and schemes. You need not deal with this foe directly, but you must stymie her plans before they come to fruition. From the frozen waters come many giant ice elementals, each as strong as ten soldiers. Dismantle them. Nature is, as always, your ally, so you should have little fear of the icy winds while my blessing is upon you. Now go!

  • ProjectGorgon:Druid: The Krakens Are Hatching!
    "

Druids, assemble in Serbule immediately. Multiple kraken eggs have been spotted there, along with several young adults. Krakens are not indigenous to this continent and represent a terrible threat to nature. Defeat them now, before they become the size of cities!

Druid Forms

Druids are able to unlock additional transformations by spending Dreva Blessings at the altar where Druid is unlocked. Each form (besides icon_2249.png Deer Form and icon_3478.png Raven Form which you get from leveling at levels 25 and 50 respectively) costs 100 blessings.
Eagle form can be unlock by talking to Rixie.

Trivia

Certain Druid animal forms (raven, duck, owl) do not count as animal for purposes of Animal Town NPCs. You will get a message "you still smell like a human/elf/rakshasa," but even after 3 hours, they will not talk with you.

This is no longer the case, but when Riding was first added, level 50 Riding counted for the level 50 combat skill prerequisite to unlock Druid.
