Journal

The following text is transcribed from the Journal.

In the Third Age on Ashenfall, mithril was incredibly desirable. It was only available in small quantities then, as its scarcity - perhaps inevitably - made it the fashion of the time. High-priests would incorporate it into their rosaries. Community leaders would wear it as brooches. It was rare enough that people would comment when they saw it. Ooh, Rosie's doing well for herself. That sort of thing.

The idea of a mithril bar would have been mind-boggling to anyone in the Third Age. No matter their alignment, they'd have stabbed you in the belly and run away cackling with it. But here you are with an entire ingot. Take a moment and consider yourself a Third Age king.
