For the pillar block, see Minecraft:Purpur Pillar. For the unused variants, see Minecraft:Chiseled Purpur and deprecated_purpur_block_2.

Template:Infobox block Purpur blocks are decorative Minecraft:blocks that can be crafted with popped chorus fruit and are naturally generated in End cities and End ships.

Obtaining

Breaking

The suitable tool to break purpur block is Minecraft:pickaxe. Purpur block needs to be broken using a pickaxe, otherwise the breaking time will increase and the block drops nothing. Script error: No such module "breaking row". Purpur block drops itself when it's destroyed.

Natural generation

Purpur blocks can be found naturally as part of End cities and End ships.

Note blocks

Purpur blocks can be placed under note blocks to produce "bass drum" sounds.

Sulfur cube

Template:Message box Template:Article other Sulfur cubes have the ability to absorb purpur blocks, either through picking them up or being interacted with them. This provides the regular/football effect to the mob when hitting it.
