Minecraft:Lukewarm Ocean

From SAS Gaming Wiki
Revision as of 11:10, 9 May 2026 by SyncBot (talk | contribs) (Sync: updated from Minecraft)

Template:Infobox biome

The lukewarm ocean is a lukewarm variant of Minecraft:oceans, notable for its Minecraft:sand floor and warm Minecraft:fish.

Generation

Lukewarm oceans generate as oceans in the moderately high temperature zones, often bordering Minecraft:jungles, Minecraft:savannas, Minecraft:mangrove swamps, and Minecraft:windswept savannas, but also Minecraft:plains and Minecraft:forests.

The lukewarm ocean generates as a shallow ocean, bordering coastal biomes and Minecraft:deep lukewarm oceans, but never Minecraft:mushroom fields. They can border Minecraft:warm oceans near higher temperature zones, and regular Minecraft:oceans near lower.

Description

The separate colors of each ocean variant Template:In

The lukewarm ocean has light blue water at the surface. Its floor is made of Minecraft:sand, with occasional patches of Minecraft:dirt, Minecraft:gravel and Minecraft:clay in shallower areas. Minecraft:Ocean ruins that generate in lukewarm and warm oceans are made of Minecraft:sandstone blocks, as opposed to the stone blocks that make up ruins in colder oceans. This biome also has more seagrass and less kelp compared to colder ocean variants.

Occasional islands in lukewarm oceans are covered by Minecraft:grass blocks with default vegetation.

Like in warm oceans, Minecraft:tropical fish and Minecraft:pufferfishTemplate:Only spawn here, as well as Minecraft:cod and Minecraft:salmon.Template:Only Minecraft:Zombie nautiluses use their coral variant.

With Minecraft:Vibrant Visuals, lukewarm oceans use a coolish humid Minecraft:volumetric fog setting, which slightly fades the distance in an orange tint.

Mobs

The following mobs naturally spawn here:

Sounds

When in any ocean biome, unique ocean Minecraft:ambience plays randomly. Normal Overworld tracks also play, alongside "Axolotl", "Dragon Fish" and "Shuniji", as the requirements for those are merely to be underwater rather than biome-determined.
