StarCitizen:Venture

The StarCitizen:RSI Venture light [[StarCitizen::Category:Armor sets|armor set]] is built for the unknown. Its StarCitizen:EVA-rated protection system features an undersuit built from a durable polymer weave that's designed to withstand extreme environmental conditions and features component armor pieces to protect you against impacts and particulates.<ref>In game description in Alpha 3.9.0</ref>

It is akin to the outer space version of a diver's skinsuit: it's designed primarily to protect from the vacuum rather than to serve as a bonus in combat. As such, it prioritizes visibility and range of motion over physical blocking (though it does offer a 20% increase in overall protection). The Venture suit is perfect for the average spacecraft pilot more concerned about hull breaches than needing to engage in first person combat.<ref name="jpvg">Template:Cite Jump Point</ref>

Development

Venture was one of the very first sets completed by StarCitizen:CIG, and it has appeared in a variety of StarCitizen:ship commercials and in-game events, with the distinctive helmet playing a particularly important role in defining the aesthetics of the verse.<ref name="jpvg"/>
