Ophion, Inc. was a StarCitizen:human geo-development and StarCitizen:terraforming company that operated from StarCitizen:2501 to StarCitizen:2567. Founded by StarCitizen:Eurynome Rhodes, it was initially well regarded for its conscientious business practices and high rates of pay. After the founder's son, StarCitizen:Savion Guerra-Rhodes, inherited the company in 2560, he implemented a series of cost-saving measures that caused product quality and employee satisfaction to fall sharply. Guerra-Rhodes used the resulting capital to purchase the terraforming rights to StarCitizen:Taranis II and its moon from the StarCitizen:United Empire of Earth (UEE) government, intending to test a new technology that would draw on the moon's orbital energy as a power source.
