test.mclevel is a Template:JE sample world uploaded by Minecraft:Notch on Minecraft:minecraft.net to demonstrate the Minecraft:Indev level format.<ref>Template:Citation</ref> It can be loaded in any Indev version starting from Indev 0.31 20100122-2251.

Summary

The world is an ordinary normal-sized, square, island Indev world set in the Normal theme. Upon loading the world, the player is located in a grassy field. Some Minecraft:grass blocks in front of the player's starting location were presumably manually removed before the world was saved, as suggested by some patches of Minecraft:dirt on the ground.
