Java Edition

26.3

Template:Main 26.3, the release of the third game drop of 2026, is a game drop set to release in the third quarter of 2026, which adds the Minecraft:dappled forest biome, including Minecraft:red shrubs, Minecraft:shelf mushrooms, Minecraft:wool stairs and slabs, Minecraft:straw beds, Minecraft:cushions, and a new Minecraft:abandoned camp structure.

Bedrock Edition

26.40

Template:Main 26.40 is a minor update with no set release date, which adds experimental features for the third drop of 2026 and fixes bugs.

26.50

Template:Main 26.50, the release of the third game drop of 2026, is a game drop set to release in the third quarter of 2026, which adds the Minecraft:dappled forest biome, including Minecraft:red shrubs, Minecraft:shelf mushrooms, Minecraft:wool stairs and slabs, Minecraft:straw beds, Minecraft:cushions, and a new Minecraft:abandoned camp structure.

Native Nintendo Switch 2 release

A native release of Template:BE for the Nintendo Switch 2 is set to release later in 2026. Native support for Minecraft:Vibrant Visuals will be included in this release, unlike the original Nintendo Switch version.<ref>Template:Mcnet</ref>

Minecraft Education

26.30

Template:Main 26.30, dubbed the Learning Cubed Update, is a minor update set to release in August 2026. It adds features from the Minecraft:Tiny Takeover and Minecraft:Chaos Cubed game drops.

Planned fixes

The following bugs have been resolved as "Fixed" on the bug tracker, and their fix version is "Future Update". (i.e. a version that has not yet been released) Note that these are not guaranteed to be fixed in the next (development) version.
