Minecraft:Redstone Company

The Redstone Company is a corporation in Minecraft: The Outsider. It is the most powerful entity in Minecraft:the City, responsible for the construction of Minecraft:redstone devices and allocation of resources.

History

Template:Spoiler warning Template:Expand section Minecraft:Valda's parents worked for the Redstone Company for eleven years, but left after concerns with the company. According to Minecraft:Valda's mother, the corporation started with good intentions, but became more greedy over time.

Valda, Minecraft:Brant, and Minecraft:Jeremy begin talking about the Redstone Company when the latter mention it in conversation and the former remembers that her parents said the company was doing "underhanded things." Brant explains that the company sources materials from outside the borders of the City, and that this is kept a secret from most employees.

Valda and Jeremy present their findings during a celebration at Minecraft:City Hall. Their evidence is eventually corroborated by a story from Minecraft:Jeremy's mother, a journalist, and a large number of records. Brant's parents are removed from their leadership positions, and Jeremy's and Valda's are hired as consultants on sustainability.

Operations

The Redstone Company is an engineering and industrial group that provides most of the resources for the City and develops most of their technology. They are currently working on a flying machine, and previous achievements include Minecraft:minecart systems and advanced mob farms. The company uses the Minecraft:emerald as its currency.

Until recently, the company sourced it's materials from mob farms and strip mines in the area just outside the City. Since then, they have been implied to become more environmentally sustainable.
