Food & potions perks:
- Dragonwilds:Knowledgable Nourishment – Increases the player's Dragonwilds:experience gain in all Dragonwilds:skills by 10%
- Dragonwilds:Focused Cooking – Increases the experience gained when training the Dragonwilds:Cooking skill by 15%
- Dragonwilds:Focused Cooking II – Increases the experience gained when training the Dragonwilds:Cooking skill by 30%
*Perks: Food perks do NOT stack. Eating another food after consuming a different one overrides its perk(s) with the most recent food eaten. Potions behave like this as well; drinking a new potion will immediately overwrite your active potion buff. While players cannot layer multiple foods or multiple potions, one potion + one food perks can be stacked together simultaneously.

Buying Redberries with Garou Chits width=60x60
Once the player has access to Umbral Sands and have completed parts of it's main quest, Ictlharin's Little Helper, they get access to Dragonwilds:garou merchants. These merchants offer a direct source of buyable ingredients for Cooking in exchange for Dragonwilds:garou chits. As cooking ingredients on a grill give 10 XP each, we can calculate how many ingredients are required to reach a certain Cooking level.
Based on the previous region, Dragonwilds:Dowdun Reach, players indirectly need a level 41 Cooking to complete its main quest, as they need to cook Dragonwilds:maple sap into Syrup. Taking that into consideration, here are the calculations for some level thresholds starting at level 41:
- 24,084 XP to reach level 50
- 167,168 XP to reach level 75
- 431,179 XP to reach level 95
- 983,490 XP to reach level 99
The cheapest ingredient available, Dragonwilds:redberries, gives 10 XP each and is sold at a rate of 3 garou chits per redberries:
- ~7,227 garou chits for 2,409 redberries to reach level 50
- ~50,151 garou chits for 16,717 redberries to reach level 75
- ~129,354 garou chits for 43,118 redberries to reach level 95
- ~295,047 garou chits for 98,349 redberries to reach level 99
If the player uses all the best Cooking experience boosts available (Ring, Dragonwilds:Knowledgable Nourishment, and Potion):
- ~4,812 garou chits for 1,604 redberries to reach level 50
- ~33,402 garou chits for 11,134 redberries to reach level 75
- ~86,151 garou chits for 28,717 redberries to reach level 95
- ~196,503 garou chits for 65,501 redberries to reach level 99
With an empty inventory and the use of the Personal Chest spell, players can buy about ~5148 redberries per trip:
- ~20 trips to buy enough redberries to reach level 99 Cooking without using any experience boosts
- ~13 trips to buy enough redberries to reach level 99 Cooking with experience boosts
- About 16 and 11 Dragonwilds:iron chests are needed to contain all the redberries required to achieve level 99 Cooking, respectively.
Dragonwilds:Lodestones prove to be very useful here as they can be built very close to garou merchants.
