Minecraft:Alien Invasion

Alien Invasion is a map that was created to demonstrate the at the time planned Minecraft:add-ons for Template:BE. It was first showcased on June 13, 2016 during the Microsoft Xbox press conference at Template:W,<ref>Template:Ytl</ref> a recording of the press conference segment that featured the map was uploaded to the Xbox YouTube channel 3 days later on June 17, 2016.<ref>Template:Ytl</ref> On October 21, 2016Template:Verify, the map was made available for download on Minecraft:minecraft.net.<ref>Template:Cite</ref> At the same time, a playthrough of the map was uploaded to the Minecraft YouTube channel.<ref>Template:Ytl</ref>

• The alien invasion textures are based on the Minecraft:City Texture Pack
  • This can be seen by the textures resolution, style and villager textures. This was even mentioned by the developers of the map
• The reskinned Minecraft:wither skeleton resembles a Minecraft:villager version of one of the men in black.
