Template:Infobox Item The abyssal whip is a Dragonwilds:power level 4 one-handed Dragonwilds:masterwork melee weapon that can be created at a Dragonwilds:blacksmith's bench. The recipe can be acquired from the Dragonwilds:Kletterbuja Kara Dragonwilds:vault by interacting with a dragonkin statue clutching a blue orb, and hidden within a concealed alcove on the upper floor, near the ledge-jumping path, provided players have the Dragonwilds:abyssal spine that is dropped by an Dragonwilds:abyssal demon in the player's inventory. It can be ascended at a Dragonwilds:mystic forge with Dragonwilds:ascension cores.

Its special attack is abyssal snare, which costs 20 Dragonwilds:stamina and takes 0.8s to cast and a 1.15s delay afterwards which sends out a slow-moving purple projectile that homes in on nearby enemies and explodes in a small radius after colliding with an enemy, wall, or after about 2 seconds, and knocks down most foes for roughly 3 seconds. Performing any action before it has impacted a target will cause it to disappear. It cannot travel up or down ledges, but the explosion can still affect foes close to the ledge where it collided. The special attack is unaffected by both Dragonwilds:Enchant Weapon: Fire and Dragonwilds:Enchant Weapon: Air.

Abyssal Whip Special Attack Animation

This weapon's Dragonwilds:special effect is that regular attacks also build up Dragonwilds:bleed, and after five rapid hits, will proc 28 damage at Dragonwilds:power level 4 and 40 damage at Dragonwilds:power level 7, despite only listing 25 for each. As this weapon deals slash damage, compared to swords, it attacks are slightly slower but slightly harder, however its forward lunge distance is much shorter, and since enemies are knocked back significantly by most attacks, they will be often be knocked out of this weapon's combos. It also does not have increased block without a shield compared to other similar weapons.
