Template:Distinguish Template:Region locked Template:Scope Template:Infobox company Oreo is an American brand of sandwich cookie. In 2026, Oreo and Minecraft collaborated on limited-edition cookies and a prize promotion in Australia and New Zealand.<ref name="promotion">Template:Cite web</ref>

This collaboration is separate from Oreo's 2025 partnership with Minecraft:A Minecraft Movie, which featured different packaging, cookie designs, and promotional activities.

Products

The collaboration introduced a limited-edition 140-gram package of original Oreo cookies. One side of each cookie retained the standard Oreo design, while the other could carry one of three Minecraft embossments: a Minecraft:creeper face, a Minecraft:pickaxe, or a Minecraft:sword. The package used grass, dirt, stone, and ore textures around its edges and depicted Steve and a creeper on the front.<ref name="product">Template:Cite web</ref>

Retailers warned that online orders were not guaranteed to contain the promotional packaging and that an individual package might not contain all three cookie designs.<ref name="product" />

Promotion

Bite. Scan. Chance to Win.

The limited-edition packaging advertised a promotion titled Bite. Scan. Chance to Win.. It was open to residents of Australia and New Zealand who were at least 18 years old. The Australian promotional period ran from 10:01 p.m. AEST on August 23 until 11:59 p.m. AEDT on November 15, 2026. The New Zealand period ran from 12:01 a.m. NZST on August 24 until 2:59 a.m. NZDT on November 16.<ref name="promotion" />

Despite the themed packaging, any Oreo cookie product purchased from an Australian or New Zealand retailer during the promotional period qualified for entry. Entrants had to complete an online form and upload an itemised purchase receipt. Entries were limited to two per household each week and one per qualifying purchase and receipt.<ref name="promotion" />

The promotion's website presented an optional three-step process:

  1. Bite an Oreo cookie into a square shape.
  2. Scan the cookie using a phone or computer camera.
  3. Complete the entry form for a chance to win.

Scanning the cookie was not required. Entrants could skip the scanning step and proceed directly to the receipt-upload form without changing their chances of winning.<ref name="promotion" />

Prizes

Twelve weekly draws offered a total of 2,424 digital prepaid cards, with 202 cards awarded in each draw. Australian winners received a digital prepaid card worth A$40, while New Zealand winners received a digital Visa card worth NZ$40.<ref name="promotion" />
