ProjectGorgon:Butterfly Transformation is usually a temporary ProjectGorgon:Curse which wears off on its own. Repeatedly becoming inflicted with this curse can cause a permanent transformation.

Permanent Transformation
"You've consume far too much fairy dust and now you're a butterfly forever. There is no known cure for this affliction, although you recall rumors of a substance called a "panacea" that could help... but if such a thing even exists, it would be extremely rare. Your best option now is to learn to live as a butterfly.
As a butterfly you can fly outdoors and you have a 10% bonus to Psychic & Nature Damage, but you suffer reduced inventory and other penalties.

Excessive consumption of ProjectGorgon:Fairy Dust by a non-fairy may transform the eater into a butterfly for a five minute period. Upon transformation they will receive the message: "You've turned into a bug! Fortunately this will wear off...Suffer all fae racial penalties +10 Nature & Psychology Base Damage".
Reports vary on exactly how much ProjectGorgon:Fairy Dust is required to transform, with numbers ranging between 1 and 20. It is likely that each individual consumption of ProjectGorgon:Fairy Dust triggers a transformation chance roll, with each additional consumed ProjectGorgon:Fairy Dust increasing in likelihood based on the amount consumed since last transformation. Once transformed, the ProjectGorgon:Butterfly Transformation curse be applied for five minutes.
Individuals interested in becoming a permanent Butterfly need to repeatedly inflict themselves with the curse. Luckily, it seems that the amount of ProjectGorgon:Fairy Dust required decreases after each successful transformation if the ProjectGorgon:Fairy Dust is consumed shortly after the latest transformation fades. Users have reported between 1 and 11 ProjectGorgon:Fairy Dust may be required for their second transformation, and between 1 and 5 for successive inflictions of the curse. After multiple repeated temporary transformations, an individual may be cursed with the permanent version of ProjectGorgon:Butterfly Transformation

Individuals suffering from a permanent ProjectGorgon:Butterfly Transformation can learn the ProjectGorgon:Lore recipe Drink Nectar (as a Butterfly). This recipe offers a varying boost to ProjectGorgon:Mentalism and is taught by ProjectGorgon:Yavazek in ProjectGorgon:Sun Vale.
"Consume a flower (or flower arrangement). For 30 minutes after, the Mentalism abilities Health Wave, Armor Wave, and Power Wave have increased potency. The increase depends on the quality of the flower(s) consumed.
You must be a butterfly to use this technique, and you must meet the flower(s)'s skill requirements, if any.
