This book manages to sap all the excitement out trebuchets and catapults. It does explain their basic construction and usage, but spends most of its pages recounting the bravery of the orcs that destroyed these devices at Gribnik Hill, a dwarven fortress. The final chapters are verbatim transcripts of torture sessions with defeated dwarven engineers -- technical information that is now known to be entirely false. All in all, the book is not destined to be a classic.
