Template:MC/Mainpage section notice

Template documentation (for the above template, sometimes hidden or invisible)

This template is used to provide a notice box at the top of the main page, below the portal tabs. It is usually blank.

Usage

This template accepts one unnamed param, which should be one of Template:Cd. This is used to control which notices are displayed.

Content

A notice usually consists of:

• an image
• title
• description
• call-to-action button(s)

Here are some tools often used in constructing a banner.

Only show a banner on some portal pages

As explained above, the unnamed param can be used to only show a banner on select portal pages. <syntaxhighlight lang="wikitext">

Showing localized time

Template:Tl can be used to show time in the user's timezone. This is useful for scheduled events.

Template:Tl yields Template:LocalizedTime.

Showing a countdown

Template:Tl can be used to show a countdown. This is useful for scheduled events.

Template:Tl yields Template:Countdown when the event hasn't started, and Minecraft Live has started! when the event has started.
