Minecraft:Honeycomb

Template:For Template:Infobox item Honeycombs are items obtained by shearing full Minecraft:bee nests and Minecraft:beehives. They are used to craft beehives, Minecraft:candles and Minecraft:honeycomb blocks, and can be applied as wax to many Minecraft:copper blocks to prevent them from oxidizing over time, as well as to Minecraft:signs to prevent them from being edited.

Obtaining

Template:See also When a bee nest or beehive at Template:Cd 5 is sheared, it drops 3 honeycombs and angers any Minecraft:bees inside, causing them to attack. Having a lit Minecraft:campfire or Minecraft:soul campfire or lighting a fire underneath the nest or hive prevents the bees from becoming hostile.

A Minecraft:dispenser with shears inside can be used to shear the nest without angering the bees. The honeycomb pops out as a dropped item.

Template:Control a honeycomb on a Minecraft:sign or a Minecraft:hanging sign prevents the sign from being edited.

Template:Control a honeycomb on any Minecraft:copper block including the Minecraft:lightning rod, or on a Minecraft:copper golem, changes the block or golem into its waxed variant, preventing oxidation of the copper.
