Charon I is a small terrestrial planet being sublimed into the system's sun due to its decaying orbit. Analysis of the surface has led scientists to believe that a massive collision pushed it out of its original orbit and towards its eventual doom. The large trail that is forming in its wake as it spirals ever closer to the sun gives the appearance of a staggeringly large comet.<ref>Template:Cite RSI</ref>
