Fight for Pyro (also known as the Pyro Must Burn storyline internally) was a one-time in-game event which took place in the StarCitizen:Pyro system. It was a continuation of the events which occurred during the StarCitizen:Save Stanton event. Players had to side with either StarCitizen:Citizens for Prosperity, the StarCitizen:Headhunters, or the StarCitizen:Frontier Fighters, and complete missions to achieve their faction's goals.

Overview

Pyro is burning!

Amid the turmoil in Stanton, the Frontier Fighters have launched an independent campaign to retaliate against the citizens of Pyro. They believe that the only way to prevent future strife is through the complete destruction of Pyro's civilization.

Meanwhile, other factions, the Citizens for Prosperity and the Headhunters, are rising up against the Frontier Fighters and are determined to thwart their crusade. Will you fight for Pyro, or do you believe that Pyro is beyond saving?

The time has now come for you to decide; where does your allegiance lie? Be warned: The choices you make matter, and the first faction-specific mission you complete will determine your path (and rewards) in the future.

Citizens for Prosperity

Putting Pyro First

Pyro can and must be saved. We know that the good in Pyro far outweighs the bad and are dedicated to giving its people a peaceful life, driving out the gangs that threaten our survival and showing the rest of the ‘verse the Humanity in our system. Pyro is our home, and together, we can be its salvation.

Headhunters

Your Unfriendly Neighbourhood Outlaws. Sure, we steal stuff. Sure, we deal drugs. But at least we’re honest about it. Pyro’s real problem is the amateurs who don’t know how to break the law like upstanding criminals. They’re the ones bringing Stanton to our door and these mad extremists down on our heads. These Frontier Fighters need destroying, and luckily, we love a good fight.

Frontier Fighters

Kill Them. Kill Them All. We’re fighting the real battle that no one else has the stomach for. We’ve tried to reason with these bleeding hearts and lawbreakers but they refuse to see reason. Citizens for Prosperity’s noble mission is a joke - Pyro is a lost cause. The only way to save this system is to wipe clean the filth and start again.

Missions

Phase 1

January 28, 2955

Citizens for Prosperity

Mission: StarCitizen:Transport Supplies to Pyro Outposts

Outposts in Pyro are in desperate need of supplies, and the fate of many rests in your hands. Will you deliver their salvation?

Headhunters

Mission A: StarCitizen:Destroy Frontier Fighter Supply Lines

Sometimes, offense is the best defense. Destroy the Frontier Fighters' cargo convoy; maybe this will slow their relentless attacks down.

Mission B: StarCitizen:Defend Headhunter Outposts

Key Headhunter locations are under attack by the Frontier Fighters! We need you to help fend off the reprobates' attempts to seize our outposts!

Frontier Fighters

Mission A: StarCitizen:Wipe Out Pyro Locations

It's time to hit the Pyro scum where it hurts. Head over to their outposts and take the riffraff out - every last one of them.

Mission B: StarCitizen:Destroy Pyro Fuel Tanks

We've got wind of the locations of the citizens of Pyro's fuel stockpile. Blow these up, and you'll most likely keep the vermins out of Stanton for a while. Burn, baby, burn!

Phase 2

February 4, 2955

Citizens for Prosperity

Mission A: StarCitizen:Retake Pyro Outpost

We urgently need your support to reclaim key locations that we've had to vacate under heavy duress from the enemy's relentless attacks. Can we count on your assistance in bringing these bases back under our control?

Mission B: StarCitizen:Defend CFP Server Ship

We have secured vital information that we need to transmit to the Advocacy but intel indicates that our Starrunner is under threat of being destroyed by the enemies. We need your help to safeguard our data relays!

Headhunters

Mission A: StarCitizen:Infiltrate Frontier Fighter Base

We have a chance to throw a wrench in the Frontier Fighters' operations, but it requires a person of special caliber and skills for what we have in mind: go behind enemy lines and destroy their supplies. You game?

Mission B: StarCitizen:Cripple Frontier Fighter Base

Sabotage is an ugly word, but against these miscreants, it's poetry. We need you to hit their bases and take out the generators. It's not going to be easy, but if we take away their power, we'll take away their power.

Frontier Fighters

Mission A: StarCitizen:Destroy CFP Servers

We've received intel that the enemies have found crucial information about our operations to clean Pyro up. We need to destroy their data servers; do what you have to do to prevent any disruption to our plans!

Mission B: StarCitizen:Destroy CFP Server Ship

The enemies are trying to transmit information that jeopardizes our operations! Stop that data relay at ALL costs, and ensure they can't thwart our righteous cause!

Rewards

Players who successfully completed the required number of missions received a StarCitizen:Ripper SMG.

Players who completed both the StarCitizen:Save Stanton and Fight for Pyro dynamic events also received ship skins to represent their chosen factions for the Anvil StarCitizen:C8 Pisces, Anvil StarCitizen:Carrack, Drake StarCitizen:Cutter, and RSI [[StarCitizen::Category:Zeus Mk II series|Zeus Mk II]].

Aftermath

The CDF discovered the true identity of the Slicers during this event, who were none other than undercover Frontier Fighter agents. They were immediately designated a terrorist organization, and the Headhunters and Citizens for Prosperity began an offensive to fight back in the StarCitizen:Supply or Die dynamic event.

MobiGlas journal entry

CDF Alert: Frontier Fighters are an Enemy of the Empire

*FOR IMMEDIATE WIDE RELEASE*

Attention, the Civilian Defense Force has designated the Frontier Fighters as an enemy of the Empire. Any CDF member caught working with or providing support to the group will have their membership and any outstanding contracts canceled. This applies to a member's actions and behaviors whether they're in UEE jurisdiction or not.

The CDF decided to take this drastic step following an Advocacy bulletin designating the group as a gang and danger to the UEE. The Advocacy verified information collected by Citizens for Prosperity in Pyro before partnering with local Stanton law enforcement agencies to prove that members of the Frontier Fighters posed as a gang known as the Slicers to attack Stanton. Under the guise of this gang, the Frontier Fighters attacked and raided cargo ships, masqueraded as members of the Dusters' gang to avoid detection, deployed an Idris and fleet of support ships to terrorize the system, and more.

Then the Frontier Fighters used the chaos they caused as the Slicers to promote and justify their political agenda. Namely that the people of Stanton should join their ranks and/or provide them material support with their stated goal being to invade Pyro to eliminate the gangs there. All in the name of keeping Stanton safe and secure, even though the most expansive and damaging attack to the system, in both lives and property, were perpetrated by themselves.

Prior to these revelations, the Frontier Fighters were using Stanton as a resupply point and safe harbor for their forces. The new Advocacy designation removes their ability to work and recruit openly in the system. It has hampered their operations and driven the majority of their forces into Pyro. If you come across anyone identifying themselves as either a member of the Frontier Fighters or Slicers, please notify the Advocacy, if in Stanton, or the Citizens for Prosperity, if in Pyro.
