ATLS in freight elevator

A freight elevator is a structural utility for transferring StarCitizen:cargo between the game-world and the local inventory. This is the bulk equivalent of the StarCitizen:storage access kiosk, both of which were necessitated due to changes to cargo and StarCitizen:inventory made in Alpha 3.24.

Freight elevators can be found in StarCitizen:hangars, on the wings of StarCitizen:distribution centers, around the external area of the cargo deck of space stations equipped with one and at some [[StarCitizen::Category:Outposts|outposts]]. They have a cargo grid that allows for a variety of cargo types to be snapped on or off via StarCitizen:tractor beam (or by hand) for transfer. A nearby console allows the player to select which items from local inventory they would like to withdraw. It can also be used to deposit any items currently within the elevators space.

Freight elevators are planned to be included as part of base building, able to share linked inventories across a finite distance. The hangars on player space stations were also stated to be able to have multiple freight elevators each.
