2020-06-07	The concept for the StarCitizen:Origin Jumpworks G12 rover was revealed, alongside its variants the G12a and G12r.
2023-05-26	The G12 was announced to be scheduled for production in 2024.<ref>Star Citizen Live: Invictus All-Vehicles Roundtable</ref>
2025-08-21	During the StarCitizen:Star Citizen Live Ship Showdown Q&A, StarCitizen:John Crewe explained that the G12 was often put on the StarCitizen:Vehicle Pipeline schedule only for it to be pushed back. They wish to get it done due to its strong concept, and that it would make Origin the first fully completed manufacturer lineup.
