GameGlass is a third party app for secondary touch screens, with configurable multifunctional displays for tablets and phones.
The app allows to display additional touch-screen controls for games, such as pressing a button to deploy the landing gear directly on the player mobile phone, outside of the games own native UI.
History
in December 2018, a StarCitizen:Reddit user posted on the Star Citizen subreddit about his idea and work to create a tablet multi functional display called SCPADD.<ref>SCPADD - A Star Citizen cross-tablet MFD, u/sartor88, r/starcitizen, Reddit, December 13 2018</ref> The idea gained traction, other people joined the project, leading to a team, and growing ambitions.<ref>GameGlass Early Access Launch, gameglass.gg, July 18, 2019, archived.</ref>
As the project evolved to support many other games such a Elite Dangerous, the SCPADD name, SC being in reference to Star Citizen, wasn't fitting anymore, leading to the change of the project name and to becoming GameGlass.<ref>GameGlass Announcement (Formerly SCPADD), GameGlass, YouTube, January 17, 2019
