Max Keaton is best known for his discovery of the StarCitizen:Charon system in 2538. Keaton discovered the system accidently after having his ships sensors disabled by intense solar winds while on a supply run to Helios. Upon regaining his sensors, Keaton realized he was well off course and began testing his ships other equipment leading to the discovery of the StarCitizen:Charon system.<ref name=":0">Template:Cite RSI</ref>
Upon discovering the system, Keaton became enthralled by the ice giant StarCitizen:Charon IV leading to the systems namesake Charon (Kharon) from Greek Mythology. A nod to his grandfather, a classics professor at the University of the Rhetor.<ref name=":0" />
