StarCitizen:Personal armor
More actions
A personal armor is a defensive equipment wearable by StarCitizen:Star Citizen StarCitizen:players and StarCitizen:NPCs. Players should consider which personal armor to wear based on the role they wish to fill and the scenario they are heading into. Armor types (light, medium, heavy) provide differences in protection and mobility. Armor categories (combat, specialist, utility, support) define the types of items quickly available from suit slots. Armors can also have hindrances or benefits to specific types of gameplays, such as restricting visibility and vehicle responsiveness or resistance to G-forces when piloting.

T0 item recovery
As of 4.3.2, upon death all items equipped on as well as personal armor are kept.
This includes:
- items equipped to weapon slots
- items equipped to utility slots
- Ammunition
These items cannot be looted and are locked to the body. Items can be looted when the player is incapacitated and not yet deceased.
Any item stored within the armors storage is lost upon death.
Super-heavy armor
Planned in the uncertain future, the wearing of super-heavy armor will enable the utilisation of super-heavy weapons while still allowing the use of standard personal weapons, but disallowing the personal application of medical equipment. This is presumably (but not conclusively) not a StarCitizen:Titan exosuit equivalent.<ref>Star Citizen Live: Q&A FPS Gameplay. YouTube. Retrieved 2026-03-14.</ref>
