StarCitizen:Second Life Resource Drive
More actions
The Second Life Resource Drive was a group of missions available to players during the Alpha 4.2.1 and Alpha 4.3 patch cycles. Imperator Addison called upon the four mega-corporations of Stanton (StarCitizen:Hurston Dynamics, StarCitizen:Crusader Industries, StarCitizen:ArcCorp, and microTech) to gather research materials in an effort to solve the ongoing StarCitizen:Regen crisis. Players could choose which corporations they wanted to support in this endeavor and received corporation-specific branded rewards for their contributions.<ref>Template:Cite RSI</ref>
Missions
Missions are offered and managed by distinct liaison officers for each corporation: StarCitizen:Aldus Carmichael (Hurston), StarCitizen:Denver Samuels (Crusader), StarCitizen:Ella Tieno (ArcCorp), and StarCitizen:Aster Remmington (microTech).
To begin, players must first complete an introductory mission for the corporation of their choice in order to access any further missions.
The materials required for the missions (StarCitizen:copper, StarCitizen:tungsten, and StarCitizen:corundum) are not available at trade kiosks due to an Empire-wide shortage. Players may acquire them in a variety of manners:
- Hauling: Corporations will offer hauling contracts asking players to transport cargo containers to their respective low-orbit stations or landing zones.
- Defense: Ships carrying the required materials are being attacked and players must defend them long enough so they can repair their damage and continue their journey.
- Recovery: The cargo has been stolen and must be recovered by players. This can occur either at ground-based outposts, requiring first-person combat, or in space, where the stolen goods will be stored on a ship.
- Prospecting: Players may choose to mine and refine the required materials, and then deliver them to their respective destinations.

Players will receive corporation-specific branded rewards when they reach certain milestones, measured in SCU of contributed or recovered materials:
