The Battered Diary can be found in Dragonwilds:Hope's Fall, southeast of Dragonwilds:Imaru's Tower, following the road south.

The following text is transcribed from the Journal.

He's dead, the black-scaled guardian. As he died it was as if the wind stilled in mourning, a great silence spread across the land dragging away all motion and noise. Leaves stopped as if frozen in the moment. Clouds halted staring down at it all in horror. Everything was silent... except for her sorrow.

The lament of a dragon is primal, perhaps even primordial. Our lizard-brains bow our heads in mournful empathy for her suffering. It is as if a wave of misery crashes against all of us, drenching us to our bones in grief.

The writhing heads of Queen Dragonwilds:Kuldra, the Godeater, laughs from the sky. Her echoing mockery felt by every living creature in Dragonwilds:Fellhollow, as if we're all a joke to her. A passing diversion, before she destroys us all.

She doesn't, because that would be kind. She does not end Dragonwilds:Imaru's pain, not yet. She leaves her with the agony of loss and the dissolution of her dreams for the future. A cruel punishment, for the simple crime of peace. She dared to shelter the lost and wandering humans, rather than to put us to the flames.

Empathy, her only sin, and for that she must endure a loss so deep we may never understand it. How do you survive eternities together, ripped away in an instant.
