A supple wood, is the maple. When cut into long, reed-like lengths, it can be formed into a worthy longbow. The process also releases syrup - a treat for a day's fletching. Not enough to make a maple toastie, mind, but enough to leave a sweet taste in the mouth.

Bramblemead was often the venue for archery competitions, and the maple longbows would be out in force. Etched into the trophy, you would find many Rasmodels. They were a noble bloodline on Ashenfall, and would often add to their reputation by earning combat trophies.
