Dragonwilds:Wardstones

Wardstones are consumable items that temporarily buff defense, with the caveat of causing Dragonwilds:Soulscourge with overuse (supposedly this represents damage to the soul, as stated in the wardstone and dirty water descriptions). There are several wardstones that can be obtained, in increasing potency:

• Dragonwilds:Small Wardstone
• Dragonwilds:Medium Wardstone
• Dragonwilds:Large Wardstone

Soulscourge is explained in the lore as damage to the soul: "When the stone is broken, it activates the rune essence and draws anima in from the nearest pure source – the soul of the user."
