Interpretive Dance Overview

ProjectGorgon:Interpretive Dance is a sub-skill of the ProjectGorgon:Performance skill. It is said that any being could dance at will in the past, but forces beyond comprehension stripped that ability away. This easy to learn, easy to master skill is now taught by various citizens around the Council Lands.

In-Game Description

Skill in dancing to music in a way that entertains or moves others.

Training Interpretive Dance

  • ProjectGorgon:Lana Songtree teaches ProjectGorgon:Interpretive Dance at [Comfortable] favor. When learned, the skill cap will be 10, and six dance moves will be unlocked automatically by leveling.
  • Once Level 10 is reached, Variant dances can be learned by studying dancers across Alharth. Each time a variant is learned, the skill cap will increase by 5.
  • All dances provide the same +25 exp at random intervals.

Interpretive Dance/Abilities

Interpretive Dance Mechanics

Group Dancing

When three or more dancers are dancing in close proximity, instructions for synchronized dancing will appear near the ability bar.

Example Synchronized Dance moves
  • Turn around and use Dance #4.
  • Say "hey" in nearby chat.
  • Jump and use Dance #6.

Following the instructed dance moves within a time limit will grant a selection of buffs. The more dancers able to complete the instructions, the stronger the buffs become. The longer a successfully synchronized dance lasts, the longer it takes for the buffs to vanish.

Variant Dances

Variant dance abilities can be learned once Level 10 in ProjectGorgon:Interpretive Dance is reached.

Two variant dances (Type B and Type C) exist for each of the six automatically learned ProjectGorgon:Interpretive Dance abilities. NPCs that teach dance abilities will not demonstrate their variant dances unless at least three players are performing (dancing or playing music) nearby, this typically can be accomplished with 1 instrument and 2 dancers. Once an NPC begins to demonstrate their variant to the music, use an ProjectGorgon:Interpretive Dance ability to dance alongside them until you learn their move. The amount of time it takes to learn a dance move is random, but usually quick.

The Variant B Dance #2 can be obtained from Rita in Serbule when at least three players are performing near her. In order to learn the new dance, you must be friends with Rita, perform Dance #2 and have your Interpretive Dance skill at level 10 or higher.

The Variant C Dance #2 can be obtained from Kalaba in Eltibule middle keep when at least three players are performing near her. In order to learn the new dance, perform Dance #2 and have your Interpretive Dance skill at level 10 or higher.

The Variant B Dance #4 can be obtained from Sir Arif in Serbule Crypts when at least three players are performing near her. In order to learn the new dance, perform Dance #4 and have your Interpretive Dance skill at level 10 or higher.

The Variant C Dance #4 can be obtained from Eveline Rastin in Red Wing Casino when at least three players are performing near her. In order to learn the new dance, perform Dance #6 and have your Interpretive Dance skill at level 10 or higher.
