"Every other morning I receive missives from Rahu about how I should answer such-and-such question. I haven't the heart to tell them that the Council does not care about anything we care about. Aside from the issue of privacy, of course. Which is... a sticking point, I admit. But our real concerns -- trade agreements, war reparations, plans to rejuvenate the Ilmari -- these topics are non-starters.
"My seniors in Rahu are also a little misguided about their standing in comparison to Statehelm. We are a proud people. It is hard to accept how... how tiny a threat Rahu now is to the Council wizards.
I have given up trying. When they tell me to rattle the saber of war, I simply smile and lie.
"Lying to my superiors is easier than lying to humans It's a skill I must master. But for now I instead use brutal honesty. And I've found the Council responds well to this!
Of course, I have not had reason to speak with the Council over twenty days. My bones begin to ache for action. I am restless.
