Subsumption, short for Subsumption Architecture is the AI architecture used by Cloud Imperium Games.
Until 2016 CIG worked with StarCitizen:Kythera and StarCitizen:CryAI, but StarCitizen:Chris Roberts didn't want two systems. Both systems got merged together into the subsumption AI.<ref>Gamestar magazine: The technique behind Star Citizen, 2017</ref>
