Service
All Xi'an are required to do 30 StarCitizen:Standard Xi'an Year (roughly 23.4 year) of compulsory Service at the age of 40. This involves a ceremonial "adoption" into the Emperor’s family for the entire length of Service. People are either assigned to the military or the bureaucracy.<ref name="diplomats"/>
