Alpha v1.0.17,<ref>Template:Link</ref> also known as Seecret Friday 8, is the eighth Minecraft:Seecret Update, released on August 20, 2010,<ref>Template:TWON</ref> at 13:05 UTC<ref>Template:Cite IRC logs</ref> which added Minecraft:fences and Minecraft:spider jockeys.

Gameplay

• Right clicking on usable blocks makes the player's arm swing to match the third person animation for right clicking.

Minecraft:Multiplayer

• Minecraft:Chickens, Minecraft:slimes<ref>http://i38.tinypic.com/svmmab.jpg</ref>Template:Dead link and Minecraft:pigs added in multiplayer.
• Working Minecraft:day/night cycle in multiplayer.

Minecraft:Third person view

• Is now centered again.

Minecraft:Splashes

• Removed "Happy birthday! I love you! Alex x" special splash.

• Alpha v1.0.17 has the highest minor version number since Classic, at "17". The highest Template:In is "221", with Minecraft:Bedrock Edition 1.16.221, and the highest in the full release of Template:JE is "11", with 1.21.11.
• After release, this version was only available for 8 minutes, becoming the shortest lived Minecraft:Java Edition Alpha version.
