Template:Infobox character The gryphon<ref>Template:Citation (raw file)</ref> is Minecraft:Zeus' winged mount appearing in Minecraft:Poseidon's Last Play in Minecraft:Minecraft Mini-Series.
Appearance
The gryphon is a half-horse half-eagle mob with a tan body and white feathers over its head, neck, and wings. It has two small ears and a large, jagged beak, as well as aqua eyes. Its mane and wings are curly and squared in shape akin to Greek pottery art. Its front legs are yellow resembling a bird's feet.
Biography
Right before Minecraft:Poseidon manages to take over the Overworld, Minecraft:Zeus arrived from the sky on his gryphon to punish his brother for his behavior and let the players go back home. However, the gryphon itself had no role in the story other than being a mount.
Powers and abilities
Not much is known about the gryphon due to it appearing in a single scene, but given its body shape, it has the ability to both fly and walk, carrying its rider.
Trivia
- The gryphon in the Minecraft:Minecraft Mini-Series is based on the "Gryphon" minifigure in series 12 from Mattel which in turn was based on a texture for the Minecraft:horse in the Greek Mythology Mash-up pack.
