Minecraft:Java Edition RC2

RC2 is the second and final release candidate for Minecraft:Java Edition 1.0.0, released on November 13, 2011,<ref>Template:Tweet</ref> which changes the lighting of blocks in the inventory and fixes a bug. This is the final release candidate released in 2011.

RC2 was reuploaded twice. The first reupload fixed a bug that broke multiplayer,<ref>Template:Tweet</ref> while the second corrected the version number from "RC1" to "RC2".<ref>Template:Tweet</ref>

Minecraft:Inventory

• The lighting of blocks in inventory screens has been adjusted.

General

Debug features

• Pressing Template:Key no longer changes the Minecraft:player's gamemode.

Fixes

1 bug fixed

• Fixed a bug that caused all Minecraft:tools to break quickly after loading a world that was saved in RC1.

From the current version, hotfixed

• Fixed Minecraft:multiplayer.

Trivia

• This was the last release candidate for a version until Minecraft:1.16 Release Candidate 1 in June 2020.
• After RC2, there was no second release candidate until Minecraft:1.16.2 Release Candidate 2.
