Dragonwilds:What's Theirs is Mine!
More actions
What's Theirs is Mine! is a secondary quest found in Dragonwilds:Dowdun Reach. It serves as the introduction to nodestones, the fast-travel network within the keep, and can be started by speaking to Dragonwilds:Doric in Dragonwilds:The Nexus.

Getting Started
Speak to Dragonwilds:Doric in Dragonwilds:The Nexus. He explains that a red-robed wizard barged into him and stole a small bronze dog on a keychain — a keepsake made by his son, Boric, and one of his most treasured possessions. The mage fled through one of the nearby portals, and Doric caught a brief glimpse of pews and religious fixtures before the thief vanished.
Doric asks you to chase the mage through the portals and recover his keepsake. He points out that following the trail should also help you activate the nodestones scattered around Dragonwilds:Dowdun Reach, opening up fast-travel routes through the keep.
The three locations can be visited in any order. Each is in hostile territory, so come prepared.
The Cathedral
Make your way to Dragonwilds:The Cathedral in Dowdun Keep. The Dragonwilds:Nodestone here sits on the north-west wing of the building and can't be reached from inside — enter the Cathedral and turn right, then follow the outer walkway around the side. Look for a section where the parapets are missing and use Dragonwilds:Windstep to reach the upper ledge where the nodestone and notes are located.
The scrawled notes on a nearby table are incoherent ramblings about the nature of portal magic — the mage was studying how the nodestones in the keep work without runes, drawing power from the Dreaming Stone instead.
There's no sign of the mage himself, but the nearby nodestone crackles with lingering energy. Activate it and return to Doric.
Back at the Nexus, Doric reports that you just missed the mage — the red-robed wizard ran right past him again, waving a great spiky staff around "without fear of poking anyone's eyes out." This time the portal showed chains, cells, and angry-looking knights. A garrison, perhaps.
The Garrison
Head to Dragonwilds:The Garrison and make your way to the building with four turrets on the norther face of the fortress. Inside, look for the mage's schematics sitting atop a crate near the Dragonwilds:Nodestone, on the first floor. These notes describe some form of emotion-based magic — an attempt to draw energy from suffering and channel it into a source of great pain.
Again, no mage in sight. Activate the nodestone and return to Doric.
Doric tells you the mage sprinted past him once more, and this time the portal showed glowing lights, water, and rock — some sort of sinister demonic gateway.
The Demon Gate
Travel to Dragonwilds:The Demon Gate, the underground area beneath Dowdun Keep. This is the one location where you'll face a proper fight: make your way through the area to the far end, past two Shardbound Lesser Demons guarding an arena.
On the other side, you'll find the body of the Dragonwilds:Zamorak mage. The wounds are fresh — singed robes and claw marks raked across his torso. Whatever he was trying to accomplish with his portal magic and emotion-draining schematics, the demons got to him first.
Search the body. There's no sign of Doric's keepsake, but you do find a crumpled schematic of some kind. Take it and return to Doric.
Returning to Doric
Speak to Dragonwilds:Doric back in Dragonwilds:The Nexus. In a moment of sheepish honesty, he admits the mage never actually stole the bronze dog at all — when the wizard knocked into him, the keepsake fell out of his pocket and rolled behind a rock. The whole chase was a wild goose chase.
Feeling guilty, Doric examines the schematic you recovered from the dead mage. He identifies it as a design for some sort of sinister staff and, by way of apology, teaches you how to craft it — the Dragonwilds:Zamorak Staff.
He also mentions that the nodestones seem like they'd be quite useful to have fully operational, and suggests you activate the rest of them around Dragonwilds:Dowdun Reach for an additional reward.
Bonus: Activating All Nodestones
If you activate all eight nodestones throughout Dowdun Reach and return to Doric, he'll congratulate you — then grumble about adventurers always expecting a reward. He hands over a Portal Reward Pack containing Tier 2 Dragonwilds:Artisan, Dragonwilds:Construction, Dragonwilds:Magic, and Dragonwilds:Mining experience tomes.
