Minecraft:Bastion Remnant Loot Tables

From SAS Gaming Wiki

Template:Infobox structure

Loot

Bastion remnants contain a diverse variety of high-tier loot, primarily centered around gold, piglin-related items, and netherite gear. Loot is divided into four distinct chest categories based on the room or module of the bastion in which they generate: **Generic**, **Treasure**, **Hoglin Stables**, and **Bridge**.

Each chest type draws items from independent item pools (rolls). Because multiple items can roll simultaneously inside a single chest, the percentage represents the probability of that item appearing in at least one slot of the container, rather than its chance per individual slot.

Certain highly valuable items can only be found here. The Minecraft:Pigstep music disc and Minecraft:Snout Banner Pattern are completely exclusive to bastion remnants. Furthermore, bastions are the primary source for Minecraft:Netherite Upgrade and Minecraft:Snout Armor Trim smithing templates, which are required to upgrade diamond gear into netherite gear or apply unique visual designs to armor pieces.

Gameplay notes

  • Piglin Aggression: Opening or destroying any container (chests, trapped chests, barrels, or shulker boxes) inside a bastion remnant immediately angers all nearby Minecraft:Piglins and Minecraft:Piglin Brutes, regardless of whether the player is wearing gold armor.
  • Hopper bypass: Players can bypass piglin anger by placing a Minecraft:Hopper directly underneath a chest. The hopper pulls items out of the chest without triggering universal aggression.
  • Piglin Brutes: Unlike regular piglins, piglin brutes cannot be distracted by throwing gold ingots and attack the player on sight. They guard these chests aggressively.
  • Breaking Blocks: Mining or breaking gold blocks, Minecraft:Gilded Blackstone, or Minecraft:Nether Gold Ore within the structure triggers the same immediate aggressive response from the local piglin population.
