Minecraft:Block of Bamboo

Template:For Template:Infobox block A block of bamboo is a Minecraft:log-like block made of Minecraft:bamboo that can be used to craft bamboo planks.

A block of bamboo can be broken by hand, but using an Minecraft:axe speeds up the process.

Usage

Stripping

Template:Control an Minecraft:axe on a block of bamboo turns it into a Minecraft:block of stripped bamboo.

Fuel

Blocks of bamboo can be used as a Minecraft:fuel in Minecraft:furnaces, Minecraft:smelting 1.5 Minecraft:items per Minecraft:block.

The efficiency of using bamboo as fuel depends on how it is crafted. 9 bamboo can smelt 2.25 items, whereas a block can smelt only 1.5 items. However, the block can be crafted into 2 bamboo planks, which together can smelt 3 items.

Unlike Minecraft:logs, blocks of bamboo cannot be smelted into Minecraft:charcoal.<ref>Template:Bug</ref>

Note blocks

Block of bamboo can be placed under Minecraft:note blocks to produce "bass" sounds.

Sulfur cube

Template:In development Minecraft:Sulfur cubes have the ability to absorb blocks of bamboo, either through picking them up or being interacted with them. This provides the rubber ball/bouncy effect to the mob when hitting it.
