Minecraft:Concrete

From SAS Gaming Wiki

Template:For Template:Infobox block Concrete is a Minecraft:block created when Minecraft:concrete powder touches Minecraft:water. It comes in the sixteen Minecraft:dye colors.

Obtaining

Breaking

Concrete requires a Minecraft:pickaxe to be mined. When mined without a pickaxe, it drops nothing.

Natural generation

Red and white concrete can be found in Minecraft:trial chambers throughout many various murals in an atrium.

Post-generation

Concrete is formed when Minecraft:concrete powder comes into contact with a block of Minecraft:water (source block, flowing or Minecraft:waterloggedTemplate:Only). If next to a waterlogged block, it must be adjacent to the sides where water can flow out from, such as the open sides of Minecraft:stairs, but not the back side of stairs or any sides of waterlogged Minecraft:leaves.

Renewability

Concrete is Minecraft:renewable as all of the Minecraft:crafting ingredients of concrete powder are renewable. However, without glitches, sand is renewably obtained only through the Minecraft:wandering trader, which spawns infrequently and allows a limited number of trades per spawn, making it impractical to obtain sand (and by extension, concrete) through renewable means.

Usage

The bright and solid colors of concrete make it useful for decoration. It has more pronounced colors than Minecraft:stained terracotta, and unlike wool, is not flammable.

As a building material, its Minecraft:hardness is slightly higher than stone, but its Minecraft:blast resistance is significantly lower.<ref>Template:Bug</ref>

Note blocks

All 16 colours of concrete can be placed under Minecraft:note blocks to produce "bass drum" sound.

Sulfur cube

Template:In development Minecraft:Sulfur cubes have the ability to absorb concrete, either through picking it up or being interacted with it. This provides the regular/football effect to the mob when hitting it.

Trivia

  • In real life, a 1-cubic-meter concrete block (the size of a Template:MC block) is practically blast-proof, while the blast resistance of concrete in Minecraft is quite low.
  • A black concrete block is considered the darkest block in Minecraft.
