Minecraft:Feather

Template:For Template:Infobox item Feathers are items dropped by Minecraft:chickens and Minecraft:parrots, and can be found in loot chests of certain structures. Tamed Minecraft:cats will give players feathers as morning gifts. Feathers can be used in an array of crafting recipes.

Obtaining

Mob loot

A Minecraft:fox sometimes spawns holding a feather, which always drops upon death. Alternatively, the player can drop a Minecraft:food item, causing the fox to drop the feather in favor of the food.

Cat gifts

Template:Main Tamed Minecraft:cats have a 70% chance of giving the Minecraft:player a "morning gift", and the gift has a 16.13% chance to be a feather.

Usage

Helmet

Template:Exclusive Although a feather cannot be equipped in the head slot in Minecraft:Survival mode, equipping it using commands causes it to appear to be rotated upright unlike other items.
