Minecraft:Java Edition 1.2

1.2 is the first and only pre-release for Minecraft:Java Edition 1.2.1, released on February 29, 2012,<ref>Template:Cite</ref> which adds Minecraft:chiseled stone bricks. This is the first pre-release released in 2012.

• Pressing Template:Key now displays what Minecraft:biome the player is currently in.

• Fixed bug with updating Minecraft:powered rail when placing Minecraft:redstone.
• Fixed Minecraft:stairs being placed upside down when placed on Minecraft:snow.
• Fixed not being able to put torches on upside-down stairs, probably normal stairs too.
• Fixed Minecraft:jukeboxes not playing above level 128.
• Fixed not being able to grow huge mushrooms above level 128.
• Fixed bug with growing trees above level 128 with Minecraft:bone meal.

• When building an iron golem, the block above them is no longer destroyed.

• 1.2 is the first version to be released on a leap day.
  • It is also one of only two versions in Template:JE to be released on a leap day, the other one being 1.9 (2016).
